Last May 24, 2012 the De La Salle Lipa Research and Publications Division conducted a one-day seminar-workshop onData Analysis and Interpretation held at the institutions' Internet Laboratory, Sen. Diokno Hall. The purpose of the activity was to strengthen the knowledge and skills of the De La Salle Lipa College Faculty Members on data analysis and interpretation.
Morning Session of the Workshop
Ms. Gina M. Dimaano, Director of Research and Publications of the De La Salle Lipa and Management Committee Member of the Health Research and Development Consortium Region IV-A (HRDCR IV-A) welcomed the participants and introduced the guest lecturers from the De La Salle Health Sciences Institute.
The workshop included lectures on the basic concepts of Data Analysis and Interpretation. Prof. Danaida B. Marcelo, talked about data processing, descriptive statistics, inferential statistics and how to choose appropriate statistical tests. Dr. Reuben B. De Castro who is also the Co-Chair of the Subcommittee on Research Utilization of HRDCR IV-A tackled data analysis using Epi-Info and tips and tricks on data presentation. The participants were also given exercises that allowed them to share their knowledge and learn more about Data Analysis and Interpretation.
Dr. De Castro and Prof. Marcelo examined the answers of the participants in the exercises that they prepared during the seminar.

The De La Salle Lipa (DLSL) and De La Salle Health Sciences Institute (DLSHSI) are both members of the Health Research and Development Consortium Region IV-A being managed by the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development.
