The Department of Science and Technology - CALABARZON will host a “Technology forum on innovations against emerging global health threats through Biotek-M™ Dengue Aqua Kit and GenAmplify™ Corona Virus Disease-2019 RT-PCR Detection Kit” on February 28, 2020 (Friday) 09:00 AM-12:00 PM at the 3 rd floor, RFSQAC Multipurpose Hall, DOST CALABARZON, Jamboree Road, Brgy. Timugan, Los Baños, Laguna. The forum will highlight the BIOTEK-M™ Dengue Aqua Kit, a DOST – Philippine Council for Health Research and Development-assisted technology created by Filipino scientists from the University of the Philippines Manila led by Dr. Raul V. Destura. It is an affordable and locally developed rapid test kit for accurate detection of dengue infection within an hour. Aside from their dengue testing kit, Dr. Destura will also discuss their other tests including GenAmplify™ Corona Virus Disease-2019 RT-PCR Detection Kit.
